Every price here is a “from” price. What you actually pay depends on how long and how thick your hair is — the booking form asks, works it out and shows you the figure before you confirm. The round
Mold, and every village around it.
Mold — Yr Wyddgrug — is the old county town, and the CH7 postcode fans out from it in every direction. Most of those villages have no salon of their own, and the ones that do have one are a drive away up a single-track lane. That is exactly the shape of place a mobile service is built for.
The Alyn valley
Gwernaffield (Y Waun), Pantymwyn, Cilcain, Rhydymwyn, Nannerch, Caerwys, Afonwen. Lanes climbing towards Moel Famau and the Clwydian Range — beautiful to live in, tedious to drive out of for a blow-dry. We come up instead.
Halkyn Mountain
Rhosesmor, Rhes-y-cae, Wern y Gaer, Halkyn, Pentre Halkyn, Brynford. Scattered limestone villages on the mountain road, with almost nothing between them and a long way to anywhere with a salon chair in it.
Northop & Sychdyn
Sychdyn, Northop (Llaneurgain), Northop Hall, Mynydd Isa, New Brighton, Bryn-y-Baal, Alltami. The busiest corner of the round — and the one where an appointment at home saves a run onto the A55.
Buckley & Drury
Buckley, Drury, Padeswood. The largest settlements on the round and only two miles from Mold — close enough that a household booking on one street tends to fill the rest of the morning.
Nercwys to Pontblyddyn
Gwernymynydd, Nercwys, Treuddyn, Coed-talon, Pontblyddyn. Small villages, long-standing clients, and the kind of round where word travels fast.
Llanferres & the Alun
Llanferres, Loggerheads, Cadole, Maeshafn, Eryrys, Llanarmon-yn-Iâl. Ten minutes out of town on the A494 and routinely missed by anyone working to a council boundary rather than a postcode.

On the day
What actually happens.
Your stylist arrives at the time booked in a fully-kitted electric van — professional tools, a portable inclinable wash station with its own water tanks, and salon products. She sets up wherever suits you: the kitchen, the conservatory, in front of a mirror upstairs if that is easier.
Then it is the same consultation, the same craft and the same finish you would get in the chair. Afterwards everything is packed away, the floor is left as it was found, you tap the card machine and we rebook you before we leave.

Or, just as often, the bride’s mother’s kitchen, which is usually where the morning really happens.

How much does a mobile hairdresser charge in Mold?
A cut and blow-dry starts at £35, a gents’ cut at £18, a faded gents’ cut at £21 and children under 12 at £12. Colour starts at £38 for a root retouch and £75 for balayage — colour prices are for the colour alone, so add a blow-dry from £22 or a cut and blow-dry from £35. There is no travel charge anywhere in the CH7 area — the price you are quoted at booking is the price you pay at the door.

How far ahead do I need to book colour?
If it is your first colour appointment with us we arrange a skin test 48 hours beforehand, so allow a couple of days. Cuts and blow-dries can usually be fitted in sooner, and regular clients are rebooked before we leave.
Can you do several people in one visit?
Yes. A household visit is one booking, one arrival and one card payment — useful for families, and for households where getting everyone to a salon on the same day is the difficult part.
Do you do wedding hair in the Mold area?
We do. Bridal parties are quoted individually and we travel to the house, the hotel or the venue — Soughton Hall and its Coach House, Northop Hall Country House, Beaufort Park, Highfield Hall and Theatr Clwyd are all inside our normal round.
